Step 2

Load your small flat brush with the yellow & white gradient.

Use the one-stroke painting technique to fill in all the sections of her hair.
Sweep your brush from the inner to the outer corner of each hair section.

Step 3

Load your large flat brush with this light and dark blue gradient.

Again using the one stroke painting technique, lay down the lighter colour at the top of her dress.

Flip your brush and use the darker colour at the top of her shoulder.
Create an additional section on each side of her dress as her sleeves.

Step 4

Now for the bottom of her dress, use your medium flat brush with the dark blue & purple gradient.
How to draw
Notice that I’m overlapping the blue part of the gradient to give it a smooth blend into purple.

Step 5

Use your small round brush to pick up light blue paint.

Color in her boots with the light blue paint.

Step 6

Using this same brush with white paint.

Let’s color in her cape.

Step 7

Now for her face & hands, let’s use our medium round brush to pick up beige paint.
Art classes for kids
Fill in Elsa’s face and hands with beige paint. You’ll probably need to paint 2 to 3 coats to get it really even.

Because I want Elsa to look like she’s hold a snowflake, I’m using a damp small round brush to carve out an open palm.

Step 8

This pink & orange colour here reminded me of the autumn leaves in the Frozen 2 movie poster.
Let’s use this for her background.

Drawing for kids
Use your large flat brush to apply this swirl of colour behind Elsa.
You can start to see how the one stroke painting technique makes it so easy even
for beginners to paint impressive gradients in a single stroke.

Step 9

We’re going to outline our design using a liner brush & black face paint.
Drawing for kids
Let’s work our way from the top to the bottom.

Step 10

Step 11

Use your liner brush with white paint to add in some highlights.

I highlighted her eyes, helm of her gown as well as the snowflake on her palm.

Step 12

Let’s add some teardrops in decreasing sizes.
These teardrops should be pointing towards the middle of your design.
Art for kids
To give our design more frozen magic, let’s draw more snowflakes.
I’m also drawing some dots to look like cute speckles of snow.

Step 13

If you really want your design to pop, then go ahead to give it an extra outline in white.
